02 / ABOUT USAcross space. Connecting energy.

Across sky and Earth,
connecting every source of energy.

We work toward the deep integration of satellite internet and modern power systems. Information available across space and time can support system-wide observability, cross-domain control, disaster scenario analysis and stronger resilience. We welcome academic exchange and project collaboration with colleagues worldwide.

The Aerospace Power Information Technology Laboratory (API) explores the potential of low Earth orbit satellite internet for integrated communication, navigation and remote sensing. We develop satellite-enabled applications for two complementary power-system settings—wide-area operations and emergencies—and seek to advance the international application of China’s power technologies.

The name API captures our research ambition: Apply Power Information to solve practical problems and advance Artificial Power Intelligence. We also hope our research can serve as an Application Programming Interface, connecting frontier aerospace information technologies with the diverse needs of modern power systems.
